Enough topsoil of suitable quality is essential for any successful garden or landscaping project. You may find that the quantity or quality of the soil at your site needs increasing or improving. Quite often the gardens of newly built homes are found to be lacking in quality topsoil following the groundworks.
And some parts of Devon are renowned for the sticky clay soil which is perfect for creating picturesque cob cottages but not so great for managing a healthy lawn. Or it could be as simple as filling some new raised beds.
If you have concerns about your soil please do contact us to discuss it. A very good indicator of whether soil needs improvement is the type of plant life that has been thriving on it.
We keep a stock of general purpose sandy loam topsoil which many of our customers buy as part of their turfing project. The exact pH of the soil will vary from time to time but if that is relevant to your project we can arrange for you to have a sample. We can provide the soil:
- as dug or screened
- in quantities of 2 tonnes upwards (5 tonnes during our busiest times) delivered loose
- from either a 7.5 tonne or 16 tonne capacity lorry.
If you require a different soil and the quantity warrants it we can often source the correct product. You can complete the enquiry form to ask for a quote by tonnage or by giving us the dimensions to be filled, and to ask about different soil types.
